Rivers Helicopter Shooting: Victim Speaks From Hospital Bed
One of the victims of the alleged shooting by a yet to be identified helicopter along Port Harcourt-Bonny waterways has narrated how the incident happened.
This comes after a report that a speed boat plying the Port Harcourt-Bonny waterways with five passengers on board was reportedly attacked by a helicopter manned by some men in military uniform.

Auwal Rufai, who spoke from his hospital bed, said they were attacked around Dutch Island area within Okrika axis of the river a few minutes after they had just taken off from the Port Harcourt jetty.
He said the helicopter first hovered around the boat for a while before an occupant went up with a rope after which bullets were fired from the helicopter.
Rufai, who could not communicate in English, spoke through his brother who said three out of five passengers sustained various degrees of injuries while two escaped through the river.
He said, “They were five inside the boat, they saw a helicopter in the air.
“One of them came down with a rope and saw the people inside the boat and went back and the next thing they saw were reigns of bullets inside.
“Three people were shot, one of them on his legs.”
He however said nobody died in the incident.
Meanwhile, an eyewitness said some fishermen on another boat were able to rescue those with bullet wounds and rushed them to hospital where they are currently receiving treatment.
