Why Tinubu Is My Preferred Presidential Candidate – Former Enugu Governor Nnamani

Dr Chimaroke Nnamani, former governor of Enugu State and Senator representing Enugu East, has reiterated his preference for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, to become Nigeria’s next president, noting that his choice was not for personal reasons, but for the mainstreaming of the southeast into Nigeria politics.

Nnamani reiterated his support for Asiwaju in his hometown of Agbani, Enugu state, on Monday evening when he hosted some members of the Asiwaju Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).

Former Senate President Ken Nnamani, APC PCC Spokesman in the South East Dr. Josef Onoh, Chief Onyemuche Nnamani, Hon Adolphus C Udeh, and others were among those who paid a visit to the PDP Senator.

While addressing his guests, Nnamani stated that Asiwaju Tinubu will be elected Nigeria’s next president on February 25, 2023, emphasizing that he possessed the necessary qualities to lead and unite the country.

On his own, ex-Senate President Ken Nnamani reiterated his support for the Asiwaju for President, citing national interest and thanking the ex-governor for his preference.

According to Josef Onoh, spokesman for the PCC in the South East, Senator Chimaroke Nnamani has remained consistent in adhering to the southern governors’ Asaba, Enugu, and Lagos agreement that the next president should be of southern origin after the northern Nigeria’s eight years in power.

“I thank Senator Chimaroke Nnamani for standing by that principle and his commitment towards ensuring that Asiwaju emerges the next president of Nigeria. I have made it clear that time has come not just for renewed hope for Nigeria but for our future generation.

“Asiwaju as a father has come to a point where he said that what he wants to offer is a better foundation for all parts of the country and I’m with Asiwaju in that course,” Onoh said.

Onoh also praised Senator Ken Nnamani’s commitment to the consultations to ensure Tinubu’s election as Nigeria’s next president.

“Your commitments to the project Nigeria has renewed hope of the south easterners reintegration and your politics without sentiment is a guide to our people”, he said

He praised Sen. Ken Nnamani and Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani in particular, and reaffirmed Asiwaju’s deep admiration for them, saying he would never take their bond and friendship for granted.
