Former Zamfara State Governor Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari has called on African youths to intentionally develop leadership skills, emphasizing that the continent requires visionary leaders to overcome its current challenges.

Yari made the remarks during the inauguration of Osisiogu Osikenyi as President of the All African Students Union (ASSU) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs auditorium in Accra, Ghana. He stressed that leadership qualities are best cultivated from an early stage.

Represented by Garba Mohammed Gololo, Yari, who is also the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Water Resources, urged African leaders to collaborate in advancing the interests of the continent. He highlighted the efforts of Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in driving economic reforms as an example for other African leaders to follow.
