Whose Your Father-Etsako Youths Ask Philip Shaibu As DG Looses His Constituency To Oshiomhole

The elections are finally done, and a religious person may say it is time for judgement; a politician, on the other hand, might see it as an opportunity to identify political orphans, political destitute, and, finally, Internally Displaced Politicians (IDPs) within their ranks.

From February 25th to March 18th, it was a month of intense political intrigues that revealed the popularity of each and every political titan.

The war for Edo State has now come to a conclusion.While Obaseki was fortunate to manipulate his way into having a majority of EDHA members, his deputy Philip Shaibu was not so fortunate, as all of his efforts to manipulate the elections to obtain a victory in his primary constituency failed.

It is unfortunate that Philip Shaibu, who lost his unit in the last Presidential and National Assembly elections, is from the same constituency as Adams Oshiomhole, and hence will never be able to outshine his Mentor.

Philip had vowed to permanently retire Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole from politics, claiming that in modern politics, the OKRO  grows taller than the Owner , so we could understand the anger and intense fury with the Edo State Deputy Governor when he lost his unit, ward, and senatorial district in the Feb 25th elections, so yesterday was more of a do or die battle apologies to Olusegun Obasanjo.

Recall that, Adams Oshiomhole directly accused Philip Shaibu of going across Edo North with thugs and spreading mayhem, as well as intimidating voters and engaging in various electoral evils, all in an attempt to undermine the will of the people who voted massively for the APC.

So, the people reinforced their rejection of Philip Shaibu at the polling units yesterday, and it culminated last night when he appeared at the Auchi collation centre, where he was booed tremendously by the youths, with many yelling “Who is your father?”

Oshiomhole, who was previously recognized as Philip Shaibu’s adopted father, has since washed his hands of his lost son and maintains he has no child named Philip Shaibu.

The talk on the streets of Jattu Uzairue, Auchi, is about who Philip Shaibu would run to after his mandate expires, as his people have rejected him, putting his Gubernatorial ambitions in risk.

APC cleared the four constituency in Etsako; Etsako West 1 and 2, Etsako East , Etsako Central.
