With the 2023 presidential elections done and dusted  the All Progressives Congress (APC) party and its president elect  Bola Ahmed Tinubu, are looking for the best individuals to occupy key positions.

One name that stands out is Jarret Tenebe, the Deputy State Chairman of the APC in Edo state. Here are a few reasons why he should be considered for appointment:

Military and Business Background;

Jarret Tenebe was born on September 8, 1965, and has a wealth of experience both in the military and business sectors. He served in the Nigerian Army’s 9 Mechanised Brigade in Ikeja, Lagos, and later went on to have a successful career in business. With his experience in these fields, Tenebe is well-equipped to navigate the complexities of politics and government.

Political Prowess;

Tenebe is widely regarded as a political kingmaker in Edo state. His political career took a new direction when he joined the APC and began to make a difference. His efforts to prevent the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) from taking over Edo state in the most recent elections earned him the nickname “Kingmaker,” and more recently, “Khalifa.”

He was reportedly detained by the Edo State government just hours before the elections with an alleged plan to keep him from participating. However, due to the swift intervention of the justice system, he was released on the same day.

His success in mobilizing voters in his senatorial district helped the APC win over 100,000 votes in the last election, securing the Senate seat and three House of Representatives seats from the zone.

Tenebe’s impressive record in public service speaks for itself. He served as Chairman of the Metallurgical Training Institute in Onitsha, where he initiated far-reaching changes and legacy projects that are still being felt today. He was also Chairman of the Nigeria Football Association for a period, where he made significant contributions to the development of football in the country.
