Popular Nigerian media personality and actress, Nancy Isime, has opened up about her personal approach to Christianity, revealing that she does not consider herself a conventional Nigerian Christian but instead embraces an independent mindset inspired by Jesus.

According to Ireporter Online, the actress shared her perspective during a recent interview with Jay On-Air, where she discussed her beliefs and relationship with faith.

Nancy explained that she does not rely on pastors or priests to define her spiritual path, stressing that her connection with God is deeply personal and guided by her own intuition. She maintained that she prefers discovering God for herself rather than seeking validation or direction from other people.

Despite her independent approach, the actress acknowledged that she still draws spiritual insight from respected ministers, specifically mentioning Apostle Joshua Selman as one of the preachers whose teachings have positively influenced her understanding of Christianity.

Speaking on her beliefs, Nancy said she does not live to impress human beings and has always been committed to making her own decisions while cultivating a personal relationship with God. She added that she is comfortable standing apart from what is often regarded as the typical expression of Christianity in Nigeria, stating that she possesses her own mindset, just as Jesus did.

Meanwhile, the actress recently reflected on cherished memories of her late colleague, Alex Ekubo, during his service of songs. Paying tribute to the actor, Nancy described him as an energetic and humorous personality who effortlessly brought laughter to those around him.

She fondly recalled his playful habit of teasing friends and giving them amusing nicknames, revealing that he affectionately called her “old 20 naira” regardless of changes in her appearance or success. According to Nancy, Alex’s witty personality and lighthearted jokes remained constant, making him a memorable presence whose humour brightened every gathering.
