How Umuahia Keke Rider Killed Girlfriend In Fight Over $*x
Residents of Umuahia, the capital of Abia State, were thrown into confusion on Friday when a 24-year-old commercial tricycle operator, known as Chigozie, was apprehended while trying to dispose of the body of his girlfriend in the bush.
Chigozie, who is from Ajata Ibeku in Umuahia North Local Government Area, claimed that his girlfriend died during a minor disagreement between them when she refused his advances for intimacy.
However, alert local youths caught him in the act of trying to dispose of the body of his girlfriend, who was known as Beauty.

Fortunately, the Police intervened and prevented the suspect from being lynched by an angry mob.
According to the suspect, he had requested sexual intercourse from his girlfriend when she visited him in the evening, but she declined, stating that she was not ready. This led to a brief struggle, during which she accidentally hit her head on the wall and collapsed.
The suspect confessed that he had been in a relationship with the victim, who hailed from Oboro in Ikwuano Local Government Area, for two years.
Upon witnessing the suspect with the corpse and suspecting foul play, local youths trailed him to the bush where he intended to dispose of the body and confronted him.
The body was later taken to the Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Sources from the area reported that they had followed the suspect discreetly until he entered the bush to dispose of the body, at which point they caught him red-handed.
Another source stated that there was a fight between the couple, during which the girlfriend tripped and hit her face on the floor. The source emphasized that no body parts were removed by the suspect.
Efforts to obtain a statement from the police were unsuccessful, as the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Maureen Chinaka, did not answer calls to her phone.
