Full Judgement Of The Presidential Tribunal Emerge (DOWNLOAD)

The Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) has issued a comprehensive 798-page judgment in response to the petitions filed by Abubakar Atiku, Peter Obi, and the Allied Peoples Movement challenging the election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In its verdict on Wednesday, presided over by Justice Hassan Tsammani, the court dismissed all three petitions, citing a lack of substantial evidence and merit.

As a result, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been confirmed as the duly elected President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and each party is responsible for their own costs.

The first case, filed by the APM, was dismissed on grounds of lacking merit and being a pre-election matter where the party lacked locus standi.

The court dedicated over five hours to thoroughly scrutinizing the petition presented by Peter Obi and the LP, ultimately rejecting the requests made.

The unanimous decision stated that the LP and its candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, failed to demonstrate that INEC intentionally neglected to upload the results on IREV.

The petitioners were unable to substantiate their claim that Tinubu was ineligible to run for election due to a fine of $460,000 imposed on him in the USA.

It was determined that INEC has the authority to conduct elections in the manner it deems appropriate, and cannot be compelled to electronically transmit results.

Additionally, the court dismissed LP’s claim of widespread irregularities as being too broad and lacking specific details regarding polling units and particulars.
