Bharatpur, known for its divine connections, houses the well-recognized deity, Dholagarh Devi, depicted as a young girl with multiple arms. Strikingly, the temple of Dholagarh Devi is in close proximity to the hospital where the child was born.

Her brother joyously declared, “My sister has given birth to a baby who has 26 fingers, and we are considering it to be the incarnation of Dholagarh Devi. We are very happy.” Even the baby’s father, Gopal Bhattacharya, a police constable in the Central Reserve Police Force, is elated by the birth of his extraordinary daughter.

While it remains uncertain if the parents will opt for surgery to reduce the digits, medically, there is no harm in having 26 fingers, according to Dr. BS Soni, a medic at the hospital.
