As usual, those who manipulate and despise progressive narratives always attempt to present the government in a negative and forlorn light. Yesterday, the internet was ablaze with stories about Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu’s Special Advisor on Media and Publicity, escorting him into one of the COP28 sessions in Dubai.

According to them, when has Ajuri turned the DSS or the famed Kizz Daniel’s bouncer making huge waves on the internet for his zeal and dedication to his job of protecting his boss?

Due to the innate enmity that these critics appear to have amplified to a force of 120, they fail to realise that this summit is being held in Dubai, a foreign country over which the president has no complete authority over organisation and security.

They also ignore Nigerians’ huge presence in this country, ignoring the overwhelming desire of many Nigerians to be present and engage with the President.

The crux of my argument is simple: it’s unrealistic to anticipate a flawless hundred percent level of safety and organizational efficiency for the president’s protocol network in a foreign setting like Dubai, akin to what one might experience in Abuja, Lagos, or any other city within Nigeria.

Different locations come with distinct challenges and limitations that impact the execution of protocols and security measures for high-profile individuals like the president.

Ajuri’s acts, regarded as zealously clearing the way for the president, represented an exceptional display of patriotism and unflinching dedication, anchored in his unwavering commitment to his values.

While some may mock such passion, they fail to understand the depth of Ajuri’s commitment.  The blatant hypocrisy in their stance is starkly evident. They demand that a true Niger Delta MAN should casually disregard their duty to their PRINCIPAL.

Ironically, these critics would themselves wholeheartedly support and passionately guard their beloved celebrities and icons without a second thought. Yet, they are quick to level accusations at someone diligently working to ensure the seamless functioning of affairs for the president.

His actions, performed instinctively, raise a poignant question: what’s amiss in witnessing a senior aide assisting the president for a smooth unhindered walk ?

In any case, MEN MOUNT, Ajuri is blameless; it’s not his fault that the president commands such popularity and attention. In a landscape where admiration often outshines true commitment to responsibilities, Ajuri’s steadfast dedication serves as an example of selfless service. Detractors, in their rush to mock, overlook the weight of his duties and the noble purpose guiding his actions.

Alright, consider yesterday’s embarrassing incident as an example, where a Caucasian woman positioned herself between King Charles of the United Kingdom and President Tinubu in a group photo, almost disrupting the essence of the picture by violating established protocol.

In any case, many Nigerians are praising Ajuri for his patriotism and commendable efforts, demonstrating the charming gentlemen’s default in patriotism.
