Full List: Davido, Tems, Burna Boy, Others Earn 2026 AFRIMMA Nominations

Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has emerged as the leading nominee for the 2026 African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA), securing five nominations across some of the biggest award categories.

According to AFRIMMA’s official announcement released on Wednesday, the Nigerian singer earned nominations for Artist of the Year, Best Male West Africa, Crossing Boundaries With Music Award, and AFRIMMA Album of the Year.

Davido’s hit collaboration with Omah Lay, titled “With You,” also received nominations in the Best Collaboration and Song of the Year categories, further highlighting the success of the track.

Other African music giants also secured multiple nominations, with Nigerian singer Burna Boy, Tanzanian star Diamond Platnumz, and Ghanaian rapper Black Sherif each receiving four nominations.

South African sensation Tyla emerged as the most nominated female artiste with three nominations, while Nigerian singer Tems earned two nominations for her outstanding contributions to African music.

The 2026 AFRIMMA nomination list also recognised personalities beyond music, with popular influencers including Peller, Carter Efe, Nasty Blaq, and Sabinus nominated in the Best Influencer category.

In the acting category, Nollywood stars such as Timini Egbuson, Uzor Arukwe, Bimbo Ademoye, and Uche Montana were among those nominated for Best Actor/Actress.

The prestigious AFRIMMA Awards and Music Festival is scheduled to take place on September 12, 2026, at Annette Strauss Square in Dallas, Texas, where Africa’s biggest entertainers will compete for top honours.

The nominees cut across various categories, including Best Male and Female Artiste in different African regions, Best Collaboration, Song of the Year, Best Producer, Best DJ, Best African Group, Best Influencer, Best Comedian, African Athlete of the Year, and several other categories celebrating creativity and excellence across the continent.

The full nomination list features some of Africa’s biggest names, including Davido, Burna Boy, Wizkid, Rema, Asake, Tems, Ayra Starr, Diamond Platnumz, Tyla, Fally Ipupa, Black Sherif, and several emerging talents from across the continent.
