WHO DEY BREATHE? Nigeria Flourishing Under Tinubu As Osimhen/ Oshoala Sweep CAF Awards

On the streets, you might hear WHO DEY BREATHE? Kikiki, this a casual way of asking if everything is okay or if someone is feeling tense.This term comes from anxiety, Who Dey…? that everyone is expected to be happy, and anyone who tries to ruin it will be dealt with, in local parlance once again we say collect WOTOWOTO.

Nigerians awoke today to good news of our countrymen making us proud on the international stage. Last night’s CAF Awards resulted in big victories for our country:

We earned Player of the Year (Men): Victor Osimhen (Nigeria, Napoli).

Player of the Year (Women): Asisat Oshoala (Nigeria, Barcelona),this one na DOUBLE GBOSA.

We also won Keeper of the Year (Women): Chiamaka Nnadozie (Nigeria, Paris FC). And that’s not all; we also won National Team of the Year (Women): Nigeria, which is another GBOSA for our ladies.

So EVERYWHERE GOOD.Which demonstrates that there is hope under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. Many may question why Tinubu is being linked to this victory, but Proverbs 14:34 (NIV) says, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people.”

This scripture emphasises that when a nation follows ethical and just ideals, it prospers and is lifted up, emphasising the necessity of moral integrity for national blessings.

Ecclesiastes 9:11 (NIV) highlights the role of circumstances and luck: “I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all.”

This verse acknowledges that outcomes in life are not solely determined by talent or strength but are also influenced by unforeseen circumstances or opportunities, which some might consider as luck or chance.

When a nation experiences moments of triumph, be it in sporting achievements like winning a national football award or witnessing success under its leadership, it often prompts reflection on the factors contributing to such accomplishments.

The Tinubu administration is built upon the foundation of RENEWED HOPE, and today, we are witnessing the tangible manifestation of this renewed hope.

Throughout history, great nations and individuals often faced unfavorable conditions yet managed to defy the odds and flourish. Success isn’t confined; the space for achievement is vast. If these individuals could overcome hurdles to succeed, why do we persist in complaining?

Despite setbacks, it’s crucial that we strive to be our best. We must persist in giving our utmost effort regardless of challenges.
