Alejandro Grimaldo netted the second goal for Leverkusen, who maintain their status as the sole unbeaten team in Europe.

Grimaldo doubled the lead to 2-0 shortly after halftime following Josip Stanisic’s opening goal in the first half.

In stoppage time, substitute Jeremie Frimpong struck from distance to secure the third goal, catching Manuel Neuer off guard.

Bayer Leverkusen will continue their Bundesliga campaign next Saturday with an away fixture against Heidenheim.
