Ngannou took to his social media handle on Sunday to make his apology public, expressing remorse for his performance in the bout.

“Sorry guys I let you all down 😔 Today was a bad day in the office but tomorrow will be another day. Thank you all for the love ❤️,” Ngannou wrote in his post.

The defeat comes as a setback for Ngannou, who had shown promise in his boxing debut against Tyson Fury last year. However, facing the more experienced Nigerian-British opponent, Ngannou struggled to maintain his footing.

Despite putting up a commendable fight, Ngannou fell short against Joshua, succumbing to a knockout defeat in the second round of the match. Joshua’s powerful right hand proved decisive, leading to the referee halting the fight.

Following the knockout, Ngannou required medical attention and received oxygen at the corner of the ring before regaining his composure.

While the loss may be disappointing for Ngannou and his fans, the fighter remains determined to bounce back stronger and continue his journey in the world of combat sports.
