The self-acclaimed pastor noted that he felt compelled to address the situation due to public curiosity about his absence, especially since he had considered Junior Pope like a brother. Although Edochie did not provide specific details about the betrayals, he promised to reveal more information in due course.

“I didn’t want to say anything till after his burial. I know many asked why I wasn’t there. Why I haven’t said anything about it since. I took him like a brother and good friend. I was there for him when he needed me. But he stabbed me in the back, repeatedly. That’s life!” Edochie wrote.

He also advised his followers to be cautious about their wishes for others, as they might find those wishes coming back to haunt them. “I’ll drop the full details soon so others can learn from it. Be careful what you wish people, it could come to you,” he added.

Edochie’s post sparked a wave of condemnation from Nigerians, who expressed their dissatisfaction and questioned his sanctimonious nature, especially given his recent declaration as a pastor.

During his virtual gathering, Yul shared his spiritual journey, detailing a life-altering car accident that led him to embrace his divine calling. Reflecting on his transformative experience, Edochie described how he felt a compelling voice urging him to dedicate his life to serving God and humanity, marking the beginning of his “second life.”
