Promoting Unity Through Love: Nasarawa Speaker’s Appeal For Inter-Tribal Marriages

The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Danladi Jatau, has urged Nigerians to embrace inter-tribal marriages as a means to foster national unity and enhance peace among the country’s diverse ethnic and religious groups.

Mr. Jatau made this appeal during the wedding fatiha of Musa Gude, a member of the Nasarawa State Assembly representing Uke/Karshi Constituency, and his wife, Asmau Ahmadu. The ceremony took place on Friday at the Al’furQan Masjid in Nasarawa LGA, Kano State.

In his remarks, the Speaker highlighted that the union between Gude and Ahmadu symbolizes the strengthening of ties between Kano and Nasarawa States. He advised the newlyweds to embrace patience, tolerance, and forgiveness as key virtues for a successful marriage and emphasized the importance of effective communication and understanding in marital relationships.

Jatau also urged Gude not to show discrimination or favoritism within his family and to keep third parties from interfering in their marriage. He extended congratulations and best wishes for a happy married life to the couple.

Furthermore, Mr. Jatau called on citizens of Nasarawa, Kano, and other states to coexist peacefully and support each other’s development, regardless of ethnic or religious differences.
