Barau Commends VP Shettima’s Leadership As He Turns 58

The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, extended his congratulations to Vice President Kashim Shettima on his 58th birthday this Sunday.

In a statement released by his media aide, Ismail Mudashir, Senator Barau commended the Vice President for his significant and forward-looking contributions in both the private and public sectors, which he said, have garnered widespread admiration.

“Before entering politics, he was a highly successful banker. His transition into the political arena has seen him make significant contributions to the strengthening of democracy in the country.

“Despite the challenges posed by Boko Haram then, he demonstrated exceptional governance during his tenure as governor of Borno State from 2011 to 2019. As the chairman of the Senate Committee on Interior (2019 – 2023), he worked tirelessly to address the challenges faced by the agencies under his committee.

“I pray that Allah SWT continues to grant him sound health and wisdom in his endeavors and support for His Excellency, the President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in successfully delivering the Renewed Hope Agenda for the peace and progress of our beloved country,” he said.
