Finally Speed Darlington Swallows His pride And Bow Down To Apologies To Burna boy ‘Odogwu’ After Detention Drama – See DetailsNigerian artist, Darlington Achakpo, better known as Speed Darlington, has issued an apology to fellow musician Damini Ogulu, popularly called Burna Boy, after a recent incident that resulted in his detention.
Speed Darlington’s lawyer, Stan Alieke, released a statement on social media shortly after his client’s release, offering clarification on the situation.
According to reports, Speed Darlington was detained following a petition filed by Burna Boy, which sparked concern among fans who noticed his sudden absence online.
In the statement, Alieke clarified that Speed Darlington’s controversial videos were meant solely for entertainment and not to defame or insult anyone. He emphasized that Darlington, known for spreading joy through his content, had his comments misinterpreted.
Addressing the comments about Burna Boy’s mother, Alieke emphasized that Speed Darlington holds his own mother in high regard and never intended any disrespect. He stated that the remarks were taken out of context and were unintentional.

“Our client has privately reached out to his colleague and his team in the spirit of brotherhood and extension of an olive branch and to offer further clarification in person to him,” the statement concluded.
