This directive, issued in a statement co-signed by Acting Directors Muhammed Olayemi (Currency Operations) and Aisha Isa-Olatinwo (Branch Operations), follows widespread complaints of cash scarcity across the country.

The CBN urged customers unable to access cash to report such cases, providing details like the bank’s name, account details, amount, time, and date of the incident. These complaints can be filed via designated CBN branch phone numbers or email addresses.

The bank emphasized that such reports would help address cash availability issues and improve currency circulation nationwide.
