ISDI Lagos Unveils Game-Changing N750,000 Welfare Package, Boosting Community Progress

In a groundbreaking move to enhance community development, the Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District Indigenes (ISDI) Lagos Chapter has introduced an impressive N750,000 welfare package for its members. The initiative aims to set a new benchmark for community-driven support in Nigeria.

The welfare package, consisting of essential food items, POS services, and other vital aids, was officially launched at the association’s recent end-of-year party and empowerment program. The event, themed “Unity for Development,” was held at the Nigerian Ports Authority Club House in Surulere, Lagos.

Elder Samuel Usoro, President of ISDI Lagos, expressed that the welfare package is a testament to the association’s deep commitment to its members’ welfare. He emphasized, “Our members are the backbone of our community, and this package exemplifies our dedication to their well-being.”

The welfare initiative has been widely acclaimed as a model for community development, positioning the ISDI Lagos Chapter as a leader in member support. It is anticipated that the impact of this move will significantly improve the lives of those involved, inspiring other community organizations across Nigeria to follow suit.

During the event, which was attended by dignitaries and ISDI members, highlights included a raffle draw and a special thanksgiving prayer. Usoro also took the opportunity to review the association’s accomplishments in 2024, including registering with the Corporate Affairs Commission, launching the Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District Indigenes Co-operative Society, and creating job opportunities for members.

Looking ahead, Usoro outlined plans for 2025, including the continued focus on members’ welfare, acquisition of land in Lagos for the construction of a new Town Hall/Events Centre, and expansion through the establishment of additional chapters to serve remote areas.

The success of the ISDI Lagos Chapter’s welfare program showcases the positive impact community organizations can have on their members. Under the visionary leadership of Elder Samuel Usoro, ISDI Lagos is poised to remain at the forefront of community development efforts in Nigeria.
