materials at the Government House in Katsina, Radda stressed that ensuring the safety of students is a top priority.

“The security of our students and educators is crucial,” he remarked. “Installing CCTV cameras will deter criminal activities and provide real-time monitoring, significantly enhancing safety measures within our schools.”

This initiative is part of a broader plan to improve the education sector in Katsina. The governor also revealed that 25,000 textbooks in Mathematics, Computer Science, and English Language would be distributed to Basic 4-6 pupils. Additionally, 18 buses were provided to assist with project coordination, and special needs equipment was distributed to the School for the Blind.

Governor Radda highlighted that ₦4.737 billion has been allocated for infrastructure improvements, including the construction of classrooms, toilets, and water facilities in 150 primary schools with critical deficits.

Radda also called on community members and School-Based Management Committees to actively participate in maintaining school facilities and ensuring student safety. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to enhancing teachers’ welfare, including a reward system to recognize exceptional educators.

“By providing essential resources and infrastructure, we aim to create an environment where every child has the chance to excel and reach their full potential,” he concluded.
