Warning! EFCC Disowns TikTok Accounts As Fraudsters Target Innocent Nigerians

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has issued a public alert about fraudsters impersonating the Commission on TikTok to deceive unsuspecting Nigerians.

According to the statement, scammers have created multiple fake TikTok profiles, including “EFCC of Nigeria,” “EFCC Lagos,” and “EFCC Delta,” among others, to generate traffic and extort money from the public.

Meanwhile, EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede has also raised concerns about the growing presence of foreign fraud syndicates in Nigeria. He disclosed that these organized criminal groups recruit young Nigerians for illegal activities, including cyber fraud and arms smuggling through cryptocurrency transactions.

The EFCC has called on the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities linked to fraudsters impersonating the Commission.
