Fresh FM Head Office Engulfed In Flames; Management Expresses Deep Sorrow

The management of Fresh FM has confirmed the unfortunate fire incident at its Head Office in Challenge, Ibadan, Oyo State, according to iReporter Online.

The radio station acknowledged the fire in a statement released on Friday night by Samson Akindele, Group Head of Corporate Affairs for Fresh FM Nigeria and Yinka Ayefele Limited.

According to iReporter Online, the statement revealed that the studios of Fresh 105.9 and Blast 98.3 were badly damaged by the fire.

Fresh FM’s statement read: “We are sad to inform the general public that the Head Office of Fresh FM Nigeria, Challenge – Ibadan, was razed by a devastating fire incident this evening, August 15, 2025.

“In the ensuing mishap, the studios of Fresh 105.9 and Blast 98.3 were badly burnt, along with nearby offices including the newsroom, the transmitter/server room, and several pieces of equipment that were destroyed during active operations.

“All efforts to fight the fire with our in-house fire extinguishers before the arrival of professional firefighters proved abortive due to the strength of the inferno, according to iReporter Online.

“We cannot yet quantify the full extent of the damage caused by this devastating fire, and the cause remains unknown at this time.

“We sincerely appreciate all the good-spirited Nigerians who joined us in fighting the fire — from residents around the studio complex who were first responders, to passersby and officials of the Oyo Fire Service. We are grateful for everyone’s assistance during this emergency.”
