Even Tinubu’s Critics Admit: Nigeria Is Making Real Progress – Wike
The Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, has commended President Bola Tinubu’s administration for its substantial investments in infrastructure, describing the progress as a hallmark of effective governance.
According to Wike, since President Tinubu assumed office in 2023, Nigeria has experienced significant growth in its infrastructural landscape, signaling purposeful government action and tangible benefits for citizens.
Speaking on Tuesday during a Distinguished Personality Lecture at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Abuja, the minister emphasized that infrastructure serves as the foundation of national development. He noted that projects such as roads, schools, and reliable power supply not only facilitate economic growth but also strengthen civic engagement and trust in governance.
Wike stated that even the harshest critics of the Tinubu administration would acknowledge the notable strides made in infrastructure across the country. Highlighting ongoing developments in Abuja, he underscored that these projects exemplify the administration’s commitment to sustainable progress under its Renewed Hope Agenda.
“Infrastructure is more than concrete and steel; it is the tangible expression of purposeful leadership and governance that directly impacts the lives of citizens. Where it is properly planned and executed, it fosters trust; where it is neglected, it fuels alienation,” Wike said, adding that the transformation of Abuja under his oversight reflects this philosophy in practice.
