The decision was confirmed on Sunday by the Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, who disclosed the development via a post on social media. Authorities explained that the market, situated along the Apapa–Oshodi Expressway, was sealed following repeated observations of indiscriminate waste dumping on road medians and highways, as well as widespread illegal street trading.
