Tiwa Savage Set To Light Up Lagos With Grand Finale Concert For 100 Emerging Creatives

According to Ireporter Online, Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage is set to host a grand finale concert on Sunday, April 26, for over 100 emerging creatives who have successfully completed an intensive training programme under her music foundation initiative.

The event will take place at the National Theatre, now renamed the Wole Soyinka Center for Culture and the Creative Arts, in Lagos. It will be anchored by entertainment personalities Darey Art Alade and Kie Kie, and is expected to feature ensemble performances as well as original works developed by participants during the training period. Scholarship awards will also be presented to outstanding trainees.

The programme, titled “Berklee in Nigeria: Tiwa Savage Emerging Musicianship Intensive,” ran from April 22 to 26 and delivered hands-on instruction in key areas including performance, songwriting, music production, and the business of music.

Speaking ahead of the event, Savage said the initiative was designed to bridge the gap between talent and access within Africa’s creative ecosystem, while positioning the foundation as a platform for global opportunities.

She further noted that her vision goes beyond nurturing performers, emphasizing the goal of developing industry leaders such as producers, executives, and music entrepreneurs who will shape the future of the sector.

According to her, the foundation was established to support underrepresented creatives by providing world-class training, mentorship, and career development opportunities, while also empowering alumni to mentor the next generation of talents.
