Tinubu To Nigerians: “You Are Not Forgotten, Not Abandoned” In Eid Message
According to Ireporter Online, President Bola Tinubu has declared that Nigeria’s challenging phase of economic reforms has effectively come to an end, stating that the sacrifices made by citizens over the past three years are beginning to produce measurable results. The President noted that the country has transitioned from a difficult period into one of emerging stability, renewed growth, and expanding opportunities. He made the remarks in his Eid-el-Kabir message to Muslim faithful in Nigeria and across the world, linking the significance of the season to the spirit of sacrifice and national renewal.
Tinubu explained that the tough policy decisions undertaken by his administration have contributed to stabilising the economy and improving Nigeria’s appeal to investors, adding that the reforms are now positioning the nation for job creation and sustained economic expansion. He expressed optimism that ongoing policies would continue to yield positive outcomes for citizens, while reaffirming his commitment to improved security and national prosperity.
The President, however, acknowledged that insecurity remains a concern in some parts of the country, despite ongoing efforts by security agencies and recent operational successes, including coordinated actions involving international partners in the fight against terrorism. He stressed that the government is making progress and will ultimately overcome threats posed by criminal elements, assuring Nigerians that they are not abandoned or forgotten.
In the spirit of Eid-el-Kabir, Tinubu called on religious and community leaders to intensify prayers for peace, unity, and effective leadership, while urging citizens to show compassion to the less privileged. He encouraged Nigerians to use the festive period to strengthen bonds across religious and ethnic divides, emphasizing that sacrifice, patience, and solidarity remain essential for national progress.
Tinubu maintained that the reforms of his administration are designed to secure a better future for the country and called on Nigerians to remain hopeful as the nation moves into a new phase of development.
