My Brother” – Atiku Sends Strong Message To Amaechi

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has extended warm birthday wishes to former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, describing him as a brother and commending his years of service to Nigeria.

According to Ireporter Online, Atiku made the message public on Wednesday, praising Amaechi’s commitment, courage and contributions to both Rivers State and the country at large. He prayed for continued good health, strength and many more years of impactful service for the former governor.

“Happy Birthday to my brother and fellow patriot, H.E. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi. Your courage, conviction, and years of service to Rivers State and Nigeria continue to inspire many across the nation,” Atiku was quoted as saying.

He further wished Amaechi renewed strength and longevity, expressing appreciation for his role in national development and public service.

Meanwhile, both political figures are currently key contenders in the race for the 2027 presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), a contest that has heightened political interest within the party.

The ADC recently suspended the collation of results from its presidential primary election conducted across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, with proceedings halted late Tuesday night after results from 25 states had been announced.

Party officials disclosed that the collation exercise, which held at the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja, would resume later, with the final declaration of results expected upon completion.

So far, early results indicate that Atiku Abubakar is leading the contest ahead of other aspirants, including Rotimi Amaechi and economist Mohammed Hayatu-Deen.
