Atiku Observes Eid Prayers With Muslim Worshippers In Abuja [Photos]

Atiku, who shared details of the observance via his verified account, expressed gratitude to Allah for His numerous blessings, noting that the prayer session was held in thanksgiving for divine mercies.

He stated, “I joined fellow Muslims this morning at the AYA Mosque in Abuja to observe the Eid prayers in gratitude to Allah for His countless blessings.”

The former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate also used the occasion to call for unity, compassion, sacrifice, and peace among Nigerians, stressing the importance of national cohesion during the festive period.

“As we celebrate this sacred occasion, may the spirit of Eid strengthen our bonds of unity, compassion, sacrifice, and peace as one people and one nation,” he added.

Atiku further extended warm Eid greetings to Muslims across Nigeria and the world, praying for enduring peace and prosperity in the country.

He concluded, “Eid Mubarak to all Muslim faithful across Nigeria and around the world. May Allah accept our prayers and grant lasting peace and prosperity to our nation.”

The Eid celebrations were observed across Nigeria, with worshippers gathering in mosques and prayer grounds nationwide. Former President Bola Tinubu also joined Muslim faithful at Dodan Barracks in Lagos, alongside top government officials and political leaders, including his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; former Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola; Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa; and Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat.

According to a statement shared by presidential aide Dada Olusegun on X, the President observed the prayers alongside other dignitaries as part of activities marking the Eid-el-Adha celebration, with calls for peace, sacrifice, and unity echoed across the country.
