2026 UTME Sh*ck: JAMB Releases Mop-Up Exam Results
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board) has announced the release of results for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up exercise.
According to Ireporter Online, the Board confirmed the development in a statement issued on Tuesday by its Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin. He disclosed that candidates who participated in the mop-up examination can now access their results through the Board’s official result-checking platforms.
Benjamin stated that the release followed the successful completion of the mop-up exercise, noting that the Board has commenced preparations for the next phase of the admission process, which includes the ranking of candidates.
He further explained that the printing of results for admission purposes is expected to begin before the weekend, following the conclusion of the exercise and the release of results. The Board also expressed appreciation to candidates and stakeholders for their patience and cooperation throughout the process.
According to him, the mop-up examination was conducted to provide a fair opportunity for candidates who were unable to sit for the main UTME due to biometric verification challenges, technical glitches, and other disruptions recorded at some centres.
The main 2026 UTME was held between April 16 and April 25, 2026, while the mop-up exercise took place on Saturday, June 13, 2026. With the latest release, affected candidates are now expected to check their results and await further admission directives from the Board.
