BREAKING: See The Dollar To Naira Exchange Rate Today, June 16, 2026
The United States dollar traded at ₦1,400 for selling and ₦1,392 for buying at the Lagos parallel market on Monday, June 15, 2026, according to information obtained by Ireporter Online from Bureau De Change (BDC) operators.
The latest figures indicate that individuals seeking to exchange dollars in the informal foreign exchange market could sell the currency at ₦1,400 per dollar, while buyers were offered the greenback at ₦1,392.
Meanwhile, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has consistently maintained that it does not recognize transactions carried out in the parallel market, urging individuals and businesses requiring foreign exchange services to conduct such transactions through authorized commercial banks and other approved financial institutions.
At the official market, the CBN exchange rate recorded a high of ₦1,360 per dollar and a low of ₦1,354, reflecting a difference between the regulated market and the parallel market rates.
Market observers also noted that forex prices remain subject to fluctuations depending on location, demand, and individual dealers, meaning the rates at which currencies are bought or sold may vary from those quoted at the time of reporting.
