Nancy Isime Breaks The Mold With Bold Christian Identity Statement

Actress Nancy Isime has shared insights into her personal faith, revealing that she does not identify as what many would describe as a “typical Nigerian Christian.”

According to Ireporter Online, the Nollywood star made the remarks during a recent interview with Jay On-Air, where she explained that her relationship with God is deeply personal and not influenced by the expectations or approval of religious leaders or other individuals.

Isime stated that she does not look to pastors or priests for direction, emphasizing that she chooses to follow Jesus through her own understanding and intuition. She maintained that she does not feel obligated to seek validation from people or conform to societal expectations in expressing her faith.

The actress, however, clarified that she still draws inspiration from respected spiritual leaders, naming Apostle Joshua Selman as one of the preachers whose teachings she follows. She noted that understanding the type of messages she listens to provides better context for her perspective on Christianity.

Reaffirming her stance, Isime said she would always think independently and pursue her own path in knowing God. She added that while her approach may differ from conventional expectations, it reflects a mindset she believes aligns with the teachings of Jesus.

“I don’t serve mortals, so I don’t have the need to perform for mortals. I would always have a mind of my own, do my own thing, and figure out God for myself,” she said, adding that she is not interested in fitting into the mold of a typical Nigerian Christian and prefers to embrace a personal understanding of her faith.
