Why I Live In A One-Room Apartment Despite Owning A Big House In Onitsha – Obi
According to Ireporter Online, former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, has revealed that he currently resides in a modest one-bedroom apartment despite having a larger residential building in Onitsha.
Obi made the disclosure during a home tour with Advocacy For Good Governance, where he explained that the expansive house was constructed largely based on his wife’s preference for a bigger family residence.
He noted that during the planning stage, he had preferred a smaller home, while his wife opted for a more spacious structure. In order to reach a compromise, both parties agreed that a separate one-bedroom apartment with a sitting room would be included for his personal use within the compound.
The former presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) stated that he now uses the smaller apartment as his primary living space, adding that it contains all his essential belongings.
He further explained that his wife occupies the main house, while he only visits and stays there when she is present. According to him, he avoids the larger building whenever she is not around.
