Help Was Blocked” — Victoria Inyama Speaks On Alex Ekubo And Pastor’s Intervention
According to Ireporter Online, Nigerian actress Victoria Inyama has reacted to a recent statement from the family of late Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo, offering fresh claims about the circumstances surrounding his illness and treatment before his death.
Her response followed comments made by a family member, David Ekubo, regarding the family’s position on the issue, with Inyama noting that she understood the emotional difficulty involved in addressing such a sensitive matter publicly.
Inyama alleged that during Alex Ekubo’s illness, a prominent Nigerian pastor reportedly attempted to intervene by offering financial assistance for his medical treatment. However, she claimed the effort was repeatedly declined by those close to the actor, who insisted that he was in good health.
She further stated that the cleric made several attempts to gain access in order to provide support but was allegedly prevented from doing so. According to her, the pastor only became aware of the severity of the situation after Ekubo’s passing.
The actress also emphasized that the cleric was not offering spiritual intervention but was prepared to fund medical care anywhere in the world, insisting that more advanced treatment options could have been explored.
In a post shared on Instagram, Inyama suggested that the situation represented a missed opportunity for intervention, adding emotional remarks about the importance of accepting help in critical medical cases.
Her comments come amid ongoing controversy following allegations from Alex Ekubo’s family, who have accused his stepmother of restricting access to him during his illness and only reaching out after his death.
