According to Ireporter Online, the factional National Vice Chairman (South-West) of the Labour Party, Abayomi Arabambi, has alleged that the former Governor of Anambra State and Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, used different variations of his name across official documents, raising concerns about the consistency of his public records.

Arabambi made the claim during an interview on News Central TV, where he spoke on Obi’s political trajectory and personal documentation. He alleged that the former presidential candidate’s name appeared in different formats at various stages of his life, suggesting inconsistencies that he believes should be publicly addressed.

He further claimed that while some of the documents were personally completed by Obi, others were linked to his academic records at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. According to him, these documents reportedly reflect different arrangements of Obi’s name, which he argued raises questions about identity consistency expected of individuals seeking public office.

Arabambi insisted that the issue deserves public scrutiny, alleging that Obi is identified by varying combinations of his names across different records, including forms he said were filled by the former governor himself and documents tied to his university education.

In his words, “Obi has four different names to himself. That’s why you see him walking against the clock. In this form, by his own hand, he said he is Peter Obi. He called himself Obi Peter Gregory by himself and later he proceeded to say that he is Peter Gregory Onwubuasi Obi and that is in his University of Nsukka certificate,” he stated.
