Dollar To Naira Today: Latest Exchange Rate For July 10, 2026
The Nigerian currency traded at varying rates against the United States dollar in both the parallel and official foreign exchange markets on Thursday, July 9, 2026.
According to Ireporter Online, the dollar exchanged for ₦1,412 at the selling rate and ₦1,400 at the buying rate in the Lagos parallel market, commonly referred to as the black market or Aboki FX. The rates were obtained from Bureau De Change (BDC) operators, although they may differ slightly across locations due to fluctuations in market demand and supply.
Meanwhile, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) continues to distance itself from transactions conducted in the parallel market, maintaining that it does not recognize the unofficial forex market. The apex bank has consistently advised individuals and businesses seeking foreign exchange to access it through authorized financial institutions.
At the official foreign exchange market, the CBN exchange rate ranged between a high of ₦1,380 per dollar and a low of ₦1,376 per dollar during the trading session.
Market observers note that exchange rates in both the official and parallel markets remain subject to change, with actual buying and selling prices varying depending on location, transaction volume, and prevailing market conditions.
