Nollywood actor and filmmaker Lateef Adedimeji has opened up about his marriage journey with his wife, Mo Bimpe, revealing the concerns she had before they tied the knot.

According to Ireporter Online, Lateef made the revelation during an interview with media personality Morayo Afolabi Brown on her YouTube programme, where he discussed how their relationship overcame differences in religious backgrounds.

The actor disclosed that he once vowed never to marry someone within the entertainment industry, but noted that fate had a different plan for him. He explained that although he is a Muslim and his wife is a Christian, their faith differences did not become a barrier because he values peace and understanding in a relationship.

Lateef revealed that Mo Bimpe had some reservations about the union, but he was determined to take the next step by meeting her father, which eventually paved the way for their marriage.

“I promised never to marry someone from my industry, but God had better plans. I am a Muslim, she’s a Christian. It didn’t matter to me because the most important thing before religion is my peace,” he said.

“She had her concerns, but I told her to let me meet her father, and the rest is history,” he added.

The filmmaker also addressed viral images circulating online that allegedly showed the faces of their triplets, describing them as artificial intelligence-generated pictures. He clarified that the couple would reveal their children’s identities publicly when they are ready.

Lateef urged fans to disregard the misleading images, stating that the pictures making rounds on social media do not represent their actual children.
