The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has revealed that he once urged his wife to continue praying that President Bola Tinubu would remain committed to supporting the FCT Administration under his leadership.

According to Ireporter Online, Wike made the disclosure during the commissioning of a water supply network project in Bwari Satellite Town, one of the initiatives lined up to mark President Tinubu’s third year in office.

The FCT Minister said the prayers of his wife had yielded results, noting that President Tinubu has consistently provided the necessary support for the administration to implement projects and improve the living conditions of residents in the nation’s capital.

Wike explained that effective governance requires strong backing from leadership, adding that even experienced public officials may struggle to succeed without adequate support from those at the top.

He stated that he often reminds his wife, who he described as someone devoted to prayers, to continue seeking divine intervention for President Tinubu’s continued support for the FCT.

The minister said the administration remains committed to delivering on its promises and ensuring that residents of the capital city benefit from the president’s backing.

Wike further stated that the people of the FCT have shown appreciation for Tinubu’s support by backing candidates aligned with the president during the recent area council elections.

He noted that such a development was unprecedented in the history of the FCT, describing it as evidence of the residents’ confidence in the direction of the administration.
