The plot to use $5 million to launch an attack on the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) policy on cash withdrawal limits has been revealed.

Speaking to journalists in Abuja, the group’s Secretary, Peter Abang, said the plot against the CBN policy is an attempt to attack and undermine President Muhammadu Buhari and the government’s cash withdrawal limit policy.
He said: “We have however uncovered a well-oiled plot to discredit the cash withdrawal limit by politicians with stolen funds in their possession. These unscrupulous politicians are plotting to attack and undermine President Muhammadu Buhari and the government’s policy on cash withdrawal limit.
“Information in our custody is that these enemies of the state have pooled over $5 million with which they hope to launch an onslaught against the policy beginning from next week.”
The Ethnic Youth Leaders Council of Nigeria chastised the Speaker of the House of Representatives, claiming that the resolution opposing withdrawal limits was illegal, an abuse of office, and the pinnacle of legislative rascality.
