The Federal Government has formally responded to the public apology issued by Fuji icon Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate or KWAM 1, according to IREPORTER ONLINE.

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, stated that while the apology has been noted, the government has yet to take a final decision on the matter.

According to IREPORTER ONLINE, KWAM 1 recently made headlines after attempting to prevent a ValueJet aircraft from taking off in Abuja, allegedly due to the presence of an alcoholic beverage he claimed to own.

Following the incident, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority placed the musician on a six-month no-flight risk list, while the aircraft’s pilot was suspended pending a full investigation.

In his letter, the Fuji legend apologised to aviation industry leaders, the president, and Nigerians at large for his unruly behaviour.

Reacting to this, Keyamo said that although the video apology has been seen and acknowledged, “the matter is still under official consideration and we have not yet deliberated on it,” according to IREPORTER ONLINE.
