APC National Chairman: At Last, The Secret To SALIU MUSTAPHA THE MAN WITH THE MASTER KEY Is Revealed

Would the APC national congress finally hold as scheduled? Why the anxiety over the APC national congress? Who eventually emerges as the next APC national chairman?

On June 5, 2020, President Muhammadu Buhari called for the dissolution of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and appointed Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala-Buni to head the Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of the party.

The caretaker committee was mandated to reconcile all aggrieved members, embark on a membership drive and organise a national convention within six months for a new crop of NWC members to emerge.

However, it is well over a year and six months since the Mai Buni led CECPC took over the affairs of the APC, party members and Nigerians, in general, have kept their fingers crossed in anticipation of a new leadership of the ruling APC.

Intriguing to note that the protracted postponement of the congress has brought to the fore the sincerity and dedication of each of the contending aspirants for the position of the National Chairman of the biggest party in Africa.

Running electoral campaigns can be so stressful and herculean with so many uncertainties how much more one that has witnessed several postponements. So how have contenders for the APC national chairmanship seat fared? Have they comported themselves satisfactorily? Who amongst the hopefuls holds the Master Key?

One prospect amongst the sea of heavyweight party chieftains seeking for the APC top job that has been able to distinguish himself to the admiration of party members and stakeholders is Mallam Saliu Mustapha the Turaki Of Ilorin.

Top sources in the party confided in our reporter that Saliu Mustapha is the man with the MASTER KEY.

It is evident that Mallam Saliu Mustapha is loved by all and enjoys a lot of privileges amongst party stakeholders, party members describe him as the best from the pack in the race and are confident he would provide purposeful leadership to the party.

“Saliu Mustapha remains deeply-rooted in APC and anybody who thinks he can displace him must prepare very well, his ability to mingle with party chieftains across individual differences makes him the STAR BOY that holds the key to rejuvenating the party, his clear cut ideologies distinguishes him from the other contenders.” Kashim Abubarkar , Borno State  APC chieftain.

According to credible sources close to the top echelons of the party, Mallam Saliu Mustapha has the Intellectual Capacity, Knowledge and Professionalism to lead the APC,  they see him as one who is on a mission to unite the party and position it for more victories ahead of the 2023 general elections.

“The APC is in for a better deal with Mallam Saliu Mustapha, his track record of excellent performance in administrative affairs puts him ahead of every other competitor, his plans and programmes for the party is well scripted and if given the opportunity we are confident that Mallam would strategically position the APC for greater heights to the satisfaction of Nigerians. ” Etuk Udoh.

Another secret unveiled by party chieftains is the close relationship between himself and the President. At about the time President Muhammadu Buhari conceived the idea of coming back into public service as a civilian President, Saliu Mustapha keyed into the vision. Thus, he became a pivotal member of The Buhari Organisation (TBO) and the Buhari Campaign Organisation (BCO) respectively for several years.

Mallam Saliu Mustapha is a former Deputy National Chairman of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) one of the legacy parties that gave birth to the APC.

It was gathered that politicians from the CPC block have been clamouring to produce the next national chairman of the party.

Party stakeholders insist his “Youthful Disposition” is a major selling point for the Turaki of Ilorin.

The APC has concluded plans to hold its National Congress in February 2022.
