Battle For 2023: Tinubu Bounces Back As Buhari Throws Weight Behind Southern Presidency

Today’s Sunday school service focuses about the Lion and its characteristics. One of the reasons we consider the Lion to be one of God’s most beautiful creatures is because of its attributes such as boldness, strength, diligence, leadership, and determination.

The Lion was regarded in ancient times as a beast with deep and magical insight that, once comprehended, had the capacity to accelerate one’s path to greater perception, awakened consciousness, and higher spirituality.

No matter how agitated the Lion is, it is laser-focused on the target and never loses sight of it. Have you ever wondered why, when you throw a stick at a dog, the dog chases after the stick, but when you throw a stick at a lion, the lion chases after you who threw the stick?

Wisdom, courage, grandeur, mastery, and even spirituality are among the wonderful traits that make up the “Secret of the Lion.”

Tinubu supporters’ morale plummeted a few days ago as a result of so many unfounded conspiracy theories, culminating in Tinubu’s outburst in Abeokuta, where the Jagaban uttered certain words that indicated his bitterness.

It was the low moments since the start of Pro Tinubu’s campaign with many supporters feeling the game may have been uttered somewhere.

What may have caused the Jagaban to become so enraged that such words were uttered? Who must have irritated Asiwaju to the point where he is openly enraged?

Oh has the Jagaban been screened out? What went wrong?

The torrent of messages from the Lion of Bourdillion’s usual enemies only served to exacerbate the situation. It felt like a send-off for the Jagaban. Commentaries on commentaries, how did Asiwaju throw away his apparent victory at the moment he was about to be  crowned King?

They abruptly began chatting as if they agreed Tinubu had been winning all along until he threw it all away with his own hands.

It was really an harrowing experience for the followers of Asiwaju. Many were speechless for some days. Meanwhile amidst all these uncertainties and wariness from Tinubu’s supporters the Jagaban continued his nationwide consultations.

As they say, 24 hours in politics is a long time. As we speak, the game has altered dramatically with Buhari’s declaration to presidential contenders that they should go back and confer amongst themselves to find a viable candidate who can defeat the PDP.

Buhari did not stop there; he also endorsed a Southern candidacy. This means that there will be no ad hoc delegates, as Buhari has stated the presidential hopefuls are the beautiful bride if they can reach an agreement between themselves.

The “Lion Can Never Be Afraid Of The Jungle” let us see how Tinubu can now use his years of skill in negotiations and political maneuverings to persuade his colleagues that he should be the selected one.

I must thank Buhari for providing a level playing field for the APC presidential aspirants from the South.

In his own words “Without prejudice to your qualifications, I urge all of you to hold consultations amongst yourselves and with the party, with a view to building a consensus in a manner that would help the party reduce the number of aspirants, bring up a formidable candidate and scale down the anxiety of party members.”

Having said that, we can be confident that whoever emerges as the APC presidential candidate was a popular choice among the most eminently competent.

It is time for the party to enter the general elections with unity and a sense of purpose.
