According to Ireporter Online, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has launched a blistering attack on politicians he accused of supporting individuals who have betrayed him, warning that they too would eventually suffer the same fate.

Wike delivered the remarks during the commissioning of the Rivers State chapter of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors’ office in Port Harcourt, where he cautioned political office holders across all levels against aligning themselves with acts of betrayal. He stressed that betrayal carries consequences, insisting that anyone who encourages or supports it would ultimately reap what they sow.

The FCT minister stated that regardless of one’s political status—whether senator, member of the House of Representatives, minister or governor—supporting betrayal would only invite repeated acts of disloyalty in one’s personal and political life. He added that such individuals would find themselves abandoned when betrayal finally strikes.

Wike further warned second-term governors and those nursing ambitions of installing successors, saying any leader who supports betrayal would be unable to withstand its repercussions. He described betrayal as a seed that yields inevitable consequences, noting that those who plant it would encounter it everywhere they go.
