BREAKING: Jubilation As Court Delivers Heavy Ruling In Suit Seeking Buhari’s Sack (DETAILS)
A Federal High Court in Abuja dismissed a suit filed by Chief Ambrose Albert Owuru, a former presidential candidate of the Hope Democratic Party, against the election of President Muhammadu Buhari, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, in the 2019 presidential election.
The suit seeking President Buhari’s dismissal was dismissed by Justice Inyang Edem Ekwo on three major grounds.
Part of the grounds are that the suit was a gross abuse of court process, was statute barred, and was an affront to the Supreme Court of Nigeria’s supremacy.
Furthermore, Justice Ekwo ruled that the entire suit was baseless, frivolous, irritating, and vexatious.
In the suit, Owuru sought a court order declaring the presidential seat vacant and swearing him in as the legitimate winner of that election.
