Brother Of Nollywood Actor And Police Officer Shot Dead

A police officer and a brother were killed by gunmen implementing the sit-at-home order on a black friday in Owerri, the capital of Imo state.

The senior Iheme was hit by bullets that were showered on the car of the Commissioner for Solid Minerals, Martin Eke, with whom he was riding along Mbaitoli road, while the policeman was slain at 7-Up intersection in Orji, along the Owerri-Okigwe route, while on a patrol with his colleagues.

Iheme passed away instantly, but the commissioner was shot and sent to the hospital.

While the commissioner was shot and sent to the hospital, Iheme died instantly.

Shop owners hastily closed their doors for the day as soon as word of the attack spread, while bus drivers caused a commotion by dumping their buses in the middle of the road and scurrying for safety.

Additionally, according to information obtained by our correspondent, the fleeing gunmen shot indiscriminately into the Nkwo-Orji market, causing the market women to flee frantically.

Police spokesman Mike Abattam did not reply to questions about the incident.
