The PDP emphasized that Lagosians would resist any attempt to impose Seyi Tinubu, asserting that political power in the state is not an inheritance or a birthright.

The endorsement originated from groups like the Coalition of Nigerian Youth Leaders (CONYL), which cited Seyi Tinubu’s philanthropic efforts and leadership potential as reasons for their support. Other groups, including Friends of Seyi Tinubu (FOST) and the Middle Belt Youths, have echoed similar sentiments, highlighting his vision and dedication to societal advancement.

However, notable figures like Joe Igbokwe of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a coalition of Lagos Indigenous Youths have rejected the endorsement.
