The City Boy Movement has strongly denied a viral social media post that falsely attributed blasphemous remarks about Almighty God and the 2027 presidential election to its patron, Seyi Tinubu.

In a statement issued by the Deputy Director-General for Communication and Public Affairs, O’Tega Ogra, the group described the publication, allegedly authored by one Albaabu Abudulahi, as a deliberate attempt to mislead the public, provoke outrage and inflame religious tensions across the country.

According to the statement, the comments attributed to Seyi Tinubu are entirely fabricated and were never made under any circumstance. The Movement stressed that the viral post was false, malicious and recklessly circulated, warning that its contents could have dangerous consequences if left unchecked.

The group portrayed Seyi Tinubu as a deeply religious individual who holds unwavering reverence for Almighty God and firmly believes that all authority and power come solely from divine grace and permission.

It further emphasized that although he remains committed to mobilizing support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election, he has never placed political ambition above his faith.

The statement maintained that Seyi Tinubu has never insulted, mocked or questioned the supremacy of Almighty God or Allah and would never engage in any act capable of undermining religious beliefs.

The City Boy Movement urged Nigerians, regardless of religious or political affiliation, to disregard the viral post and view it as a calculated attempt by mischief makers to tarnish Seyi Tinubu’s image and sow division among the public.
