Dangote Refinery Crude Supply to Local Refineries 750x536 1

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has firmly dismissed swirling rumours of an operational shutdown, assuring Nigerians and market stakeholders that activities remain fully active and stable, according to IReporter Online.

In a statement issued by the Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, the refinery’s management categorically denied claims of halted truck loading or disrupted production.

“The Dangote Petroleum Refinery is fully operational. There has been no shutdown, nor has there been any suspension of truck loading activities,” the statement declared, according to IReporter Online.

The refinery explained that the intermittent sale of Residual Catalytic Oil (RCO) forms part of its normal business structure, often involving bulk parcel transactions—hence the recent fuel oil tender.

Dangote Petroleum Refinery reportedly supplies over 40 million litres of PMS daily, alongside consistent volumes of Automotive Gas Oil (diesel), a flow that has continued uninterrupted despite the unfounded speculation, according to IReporter Online.

“As the world’s largest single-train petroleum refinery, our facility uses advanced predictive and preventive maintenance measures to guarantee smooth operations.

Routine maintenance activities are standard and have no impact on overall fuel supply,” the management added.
