Fire Razes Shops At Lagos Auto Spare Parts Market (PHOTOS)

Following a fire outbreak in the early hours of Wednesday, some shops were destroyed at the Akere Spare Parts Market, Olodi-Apapa in the Ajegunle area of Lagos State.

The Lagos State Fire Service, on the other hand, reported that the fire had been extinguished at its Ajegunle fire station.

According to a statement signed by the Service’s Director, Margaret Adeseye, the Service was notified of the fire outbreak at approximately 03:28 on Wednesday.

She stated that when the Ajegunle Fire Station arrived, they discovered rows of auto spare parts shops on fire.

According to her, this prompted the Agency’s Sari-Iganmu and Ilupeju Fire Crews to join the team in putting out the raging fire and salvaging a nearby filling station with a fully loaded 33,000 litres PMS tanker, as well as other adjoining buildings.

Adeseye stated that a male adult with a gunshot wound was found near the scene of the incident.

According to the Fire Department, the cause of the fire is suspicious and will necessitate a thorough investigation.
