Follow Who Know Road: APC Members Causes Stir With Saliu Mustapha’s Candidacy For National Chairman
Why is the APC convention causing so much excitement in every nook and cranny across the federation? Could it be related to the zeal in Nigerians wanting to key into the electoral process ahead of the 2023 general elections or just the mere “TAFIA” attitude of Nigerians?
There is this hilarious scene that took place during the weekend, somewhere in the FCT around the Katampe area, in a garden, there was this melodious LIFE BAND singing this trending song titled ” Follow Who Know Road.”.
This is a hit jam released by Onyenze which talks about successful people and the need for one to follow the footsteps of successful people to be prosperous in life.
The lyrics and rhyme would definitely put a smile on your face, see some extracts from the hit song,” Follow who know road o oga, Follow who know road o…Abobi follow who know road o, i bu dike
Follow who know road o….
Brother Follow who know road o , Sister Follow who know road o, e get why…”
There is this part he said, ” My mama tell me say, Onyenze follow who know road,
Because if you follow who no know road, You go suffer, so tey you go tire, You go waka, so tey you go tire
Obodo ndi isi, onye ofu anya bu eze”
Just before the BAND started singing the “follow who know road” verse some happy self-acclaimed die-hard APC adherents took over the stage and Microphone and started singing and performing the song to the admiration of all, the only twist was that they turned the song into a campaign performance for Mallam Saliu Mustapha the frontline aspirant for the ruling party’s national chairmanship seat.
Singing with so much enthusiasm and energy they changed the song’s lyrics while going around entertaining guests seated in the garden.
See excerpts from their live performance that got everybody drooling for more, “Because I dey follow Mallam…
Because I dey follow Saliu…
Because I dey follow Mustapha….
Some people say I dey do follow follow….
If you are an APC member and you don’t have an inspired leadership,
You are living in bondage…Follow Saliu Mustapha make e make our party great”
The entertainers went further to kill the song when they got to the end part,” If you follow Turaki… If you follow Saliu… If you follow Mustapha, you go enjoy better party administration no more party mago mago” .”
The question on the lips of everybody at the garden, remains if the performance was a premeditated act or it was a reflexive action out of the excitement and furore over the forthcoming APC national convention.
An African adage says that “He who thinks he is leading and has no one following him is only taking a walk.” Saliu Mustapha seems to be a popular progressive leader with a large following across APC members.
